A while back, I was scrolling LinkedIn (instead of working - perks of being in sales 😅) and came across a post from a former Y Combinator founder launching a fellowship called Telora for ambitious hackers. Sounded cool, so I applied.

(Also applied to 10 others. Got into… none.) This one felt the same - until we got an email: "We’re interested. Let’s schedule an interview."

Well… we had to followup the investors 7 times to actually schedule the interview, but after all the ghosting, we finally got a time.

And… it was one of the worst interviews of my life. Rapid-fire questions. 20 seconds per answer. No room to breathe. We left the call sure it was over.

30 minutes later, we got a message: “I really enjoyed meeting you and Casper. I’d like to help you and wanted to share a few options for moving forward.”

My reaction was just 🧐 like even I wouldn’t want to talk to us after this interview.

But somehow, it worked and we needed to decide if we’re going all-in.

Saturday: Got the final “you’re in.”
Sunday: Booked flights and flew 5,305 miles from Warsaw to Miami.

And now… here we are.

Humid, rainy, a bit chaotic - but very exciting Miami. Though, we’ve been only sitting in the office (our flat) for now.

Wayde is OFFICIALLY launching

We left our full-time jobs.

Now I’m writing this at 11:30 PM, sitting on a couch after our first two full days working on Wayde full-time.

It feels amazing - but honestly, it’s more exhausting than any job I’ve ever had.

The move to the U.S. hasn’t made things easier either… Setting up a C-Corp, finding housing (hello, crazy Airbnb prices), and juggling 100 other to-dos we needed to sort fast.

But we’re in. And it’s starting to feel real.

Is Miami a place for influencer marketing?

Well, well, well… we’ve been building from Warsaw, where influencer marketing communities are pretty much non-existent.

Miami might be a different story - but I’m just starting to look into local events and communities here.
